Since the premiere of Kiyo In Kyoto: From The Maiko House worldwide on NHK World channel on 25th February 2021. This anime has become a fan favorite and a sensation like no other.
This anime is set in the Geisha district of Kyoto, a city quite famous with the otaku community. Kiyo, as in the title, is our protagonist of the series. She is a cook and supports her friend Sumire with her cooking skills. She cooks up delicacies every day to support Sumire and the other maiko(apprentice Geisha).
Although Kiyo in Kyoto premiered first in February 2021, Japanese fans will get a chance to enjoy this mouth-watering anime now from 2nd October 2021. NHK recently announced on their website that Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House would air on Japanese channel NHK E from 9:20 A.M. on Saturdays.

The anime Kiyo In Kyoto is the anime adaptation of Aiko Koyama’s Manga of the same name. The manga started its serialization on 28th December 2016. Now in March 2020, NHK announced that J.C. Staff had animated the anime adaptation.
Kiyo In Kyoto: From The Maiko House is a 12-episode anime. Every episode is a slice of life drama that takes us to the living of Geisha Artists.
What Is The Plot Of Anime?
The anime shows us the struggle of Kiyo and her friend Sumire to reach their dreams in Kyoto. Kiyo is a native of Aomori and Sumire an apprentice geisha. Kiyo works as a cook in a geisha lodge where geisha comes to rest and prepares for the next day.
This lodge is in the Geisha quarter of the Flower district of Kyoto. After finishing high school, Kiyo decided to leave her home and now is working here.
